Phantom Blade Zero reveals trailer with new bosses and themed weapons

The Chinese studio S-GAME released a new trailer for Phantom Blade Zero, featuring never-before-seen battles and themed weapons. The video, released in celebration of the Year of the Snake, highlights the clash against Seven Trials and introduces weapons inspired by these reptiles. The game, which will be released for PRAÇA and PlayStation 5, promises dynamic combats based on Chinese martial arts.

Battle against Seven Trials requires strategy and precision

In the Phantom Blade Zero trailer, players face off against Seven Trials, a group of warriors corrupted by the process called Transcension. Combat takes place in two distinct phases, each with unique challenges.

In the first stage, six members of the group, dressed in white, attack in synchrony while the leader, Decree, commands the fight. He has the ability to heal himself by sacrificing the lives of his allies or even bringing them back into combat, requiring players to attack at the right time to prevent his regeneration.

The second phase presents the Tyrannical Decree, an enemy controlled by red threads and manipulated by the Disciples, who observe the battlefield from elevated platforms. In this stage, players must deal with unpredictable attacks and erratic movement patterns, requiring patience and quick reflexes to exploit gaps and counterattack with precision.

New snake-inspired weapons expand combat options

The trailer also revealed three new weapons with a snake-themed design: the swords White Python and Red Viper, in addition to the flexible blade Venomous Softblade.

Swords can be used together, combining the range of White Python with the precision of Red Viper. Already the Venomous Softblade stands out for its flexibility, allowing you to dodge blows and execute effective counterattacks. These new additions reinforce the game's diversity of combat styles.

Phantom Blade Zero bets on cinematic combat and improved visuals

Inspired by the action films of Hong Kong from the 1980s and 1990s, Phantom Blade Zero aims to offer an authentic and intense experience. The title combines elements of hack and slash with a combat system that values speed and strategy.

The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, ensuring detailed graphics and fluid animations. Although it does not yet have an official release date, the S-GAME confirmed that new information will be released throughout the year.
