Volbaino is the fourth major challenge of The First Berserker Khazan and appears at the end of Mission 5, on the outskirts of the central warehouse. To get to him, you need to release the shortcut by removing the carts in flames that block access.
The fight, marked by heavy attacks and a large area of damage, requires the player from the player more than brute force: it takes attention to the pace of blows and precise knowledge of the defense called rupture guard, essential to prevent the accumulation of flaming damage.
Unlike other more agile chiefs, such as Viper, Volbaino bets on strength and use of combined weapons. His attacks involve the alternating use of a hammer and a flaming chisel, which generates long and treacherous combos.
The advantage for the player is precisely in this slowness: as much as the blows cause high damage, are more predictable and offer lighter windows for defense or counterattack. The difficulty, however, increases when the chisel accumulates fire, triggering area effects that require rapid repositioning.

Volbaino attack patterns can be calmly and accurately surpassed
During the fight, the player will face several attack variations. The most basic is the double hammer, which can earn an additional turn when the boss is with little life. This turning is purposeful, which opens an ideal room for the use of rupture guard.
Another common sequence involves the chisel being stuck on the floor, followed by a blow with the hammer - in this case, the most effective is to block both actions with time care.
Volbaino also performs an alternating combo between hammer and chisel, ending with two slower impacts. Knowing how to identify the end of this sequence is crucial to safely using the rupture guard and then amending an efficient counterattack.
The air strike, in which the boss jumps from the second floor to apply a double blow, can be avoided with side dodge, especially if the player has difficulties with Parry's time in the air.
At the most advanced moments of combat, the boss uses an alternate eight -blow combo, finished with an explosive attack. The recommendation here is to hold the defense to the last impact and only then apply the rupture technique.
One of the most dangerous blows, the so-called ignition coup, happens when Volbaino licks the chisel before sticking it to the floor, causing a burst of fire. At this point, climbing to the second floor of the arena is the safest way to escape the damage.
Mastering the use of rupture guard is essential against flaming attacks
The most important mechanics of the fight against Volbaino is the control of the flames of the chisel. As the confrontation advances, the enemy begins to accumulate fire in the weapon, which can cause the burn status in the character.
To avoid this, it is essential to use the rupture guard in chisel attacks, erasing the flames before they become a larger threat. This strategy becomes especially useful after the large explosion of fire as the boss can continue to use reduced versions of ignition.
Seeing the enemy trying to pull the chisel nailed to the floor, the player must enjoy the gap and attack without respite. This moment of vulnerability is decisive in taking large amounts of life of the boss. If the character suffers burn, the best alternative is to use the fire purification potion, sold by 3,000 gold by the bard, located at the entrance of the forgotten temple. Having this item in inventory may be what separates victory from a certain death.

Correct weapon choice, skills and items ensures advantage in battle
There is no single weapon that is mandatory to beat Volbaino in The First Berserker Khazan, but the game favors those who choose equipment already dominated by the player. Builds focused on resistance work well as they help with the boss area attacks.
Skills such as rod crushing and armor destroyer gain prominence, especially when used shortly after a successful rupture guard.
The moonlight style, focused on spears, offers an efficient approach by maintaining constant pressure on the enemy. Among the support items are the necklaces that regenerate resistance, such as the coole of greed and the necklace of determination.
This constant regeneration allows the player to maintain an offensive posture, even in prolonged times of combat.
Victory on Volbaino guarantees rare items and advances the progression in the game
By defeating Volbaino, the player receives valuable rewards, which go beyond simple experience. The victory guarantees 13,380 of tear, in addition to the gun double blades of the fallen guardian and a piece of armor of the same set.
It is also possible to win the determination necklace and a special item called transmutation mist, used to improve equipment or exchange magic properties.
This victory marks an important turning point in The First Berserker: Khazan, not only for the difficulty of the boss, but also for the advance in the narrative.
By overcoming the challenge, the player approaches the central core of history and gains access to new areas, skills and even more intense confrontations.
With proper preparation, mastery of defense techniques and knowledge of attack patterns, Volbaino is no longer a feared obstacle and becomes a test surpassed with mastery.
