Round 6 will partner with Call of Duty

Activision has revealed a partnership between the Call of Duty franchise and the popular South Korean series Round 6 . The collaboration, announced on Wednesday (25), will include unpublished thematic content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The news will be available from January 3, promising to attract fans of both works.

Among the news, there are operators inspired by the Iconic characters of Round 6, as well as themed weapons prototypes and limited time modes. The crossover occurs amid growing expectation for the second season of the series, which opens on January 29 on the streaming platform responsible for the production.

Operators and themed modes promise to shake the game

Collaboration will bring visual and narrative elements directly connected to the series. Operators will look inspired by striking characters, such as the masked vigilants of the competition and other members of the narrative.

Limited time modes (MTL) promise immersive experiences, with challenges that refer to children's games portrayed in the series, such as red light, green light. These scenarios should test the strategic skills and agility of players in unique conditions.

Expansion of the series increases the expectation of fans

The second season of Round 6, which is available in the streaming catalog, continues the journey of Seong Gi-Hun. The protagonist leaves his plans to leave Korea to pursue those responsible for the sinister tournament.

The creator of the series, Hwang Dong-Hyuk, has recently revealed that he plans to end the story in three seasons. He explained that at first he had no intention of expanding the plot beyond the debut season.

"In Korea, series with several seasons are rare. In addition, the first season was extremely exhaustive, as I worked as a screenwriter, director and showrunner. I don't feel confident to maintain this pace for years ," said the filmmaker.

Cultural and economic impact of partnerships

Partnerships like this show how digital entertainment and television have been converging to create richer and diverse experiences. Round 6, which has won millions of viewers around the world, and Call of Duty, one of the largest first -person shooter game titles, joins forces in a strategic move to expand their global reach.

The integration of narratives and interactive experiences also reinforces the economic potential of these collaborations. The addition of content inspired by one of the most globally assisted series should positively impact game sales and the audience of the series, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between the two cultural products.

Fans of the game and the series can expect, from January, for an experience that mixes the psychological suspense of Round 6 with Call of Duty's frantic action.
